The losers of the IPL Franchisees bids are now trying other ways to get on the IPL bandwagon. Some want to use the co-sponsorship route others are in talks with the franchisees themselves to get sponsorship rights. Others are trying to sign up the players as brand ambassdors.

Md. Yousuf had signed up with the ICL but the Pakistan Board then persuaded him to abandon the ICL in favor of IPL. Yousuf followed the Boards advice and signed up with the IPL.
